I keep reading these "news" stories about once a year or so where someone or other says, "Oh, yeah, that's totally in the works, they're absolutely going to do that, might even call it the 928 again, absolutely going to happen!" and then... nothing. A sad, grand-touring-car-shaped hole in my life that, honestly, even if the machine itself were to materialize, wouldn't be filled. Who are we kidding, I'd never be able to afford it anyway. Still, it'd be nice to see another proper GT from Porsche, if just for the inevitable HD wallpaper images...

I'm always searching for these "news" stories as well. Here are the stories I look for the most frequently these days (in no order):

New 928

458 Replacement

R8 Replacement

Alfa 6C

New Ford GT

New Porsche mid-engine V8/H8 car (969 is one rumored name, some say there will be a less fancy and less expensive 918)

I still think the new 928 will happen for sure. It's just taking way too damn long. They had to make small CUVs first. For profits and stuff...
